The R75 with sidecar became known in the civilian and Wehrmacht.

While road traffic in the USA, England and France already showed signs of automobilization among broad sections of the population in the 1920s, in this country the motorcycle established itself as a popular vehicle alongside the bicycle. Germany's special position became particularly clear in the 1930s, when around half of the world's number of motorcycles traveled in the German Reich.
